Prof. Dr. Anisa Qamar was born in Mardan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, on January 26, 1968. She received M.Phil degree in Physics (with specialization in Plasma Physics) in 1995 from Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad, and MS in Physics from the University of Peshawar (UET). During her Ph.D. studies, she investigated temperature gradient-driven drift waves in sheared flow plasma. She has authored and co-authored around 40 research papers and several book chapters published in various journals, books, and conferences of international repute. She won various research grants for HEC and DOST projects. She is also served as an organizing committee for the national and international conference as well. On the basis of her research skills, she has attended and presented different papersat international conferences and workshops. She has more than 25 years of teaching experience at University of Peshawar. She is also an approved supervisor for Ph.D. candidates in Pakistan. She had played an important role in research collaboration with Queens University Belfast and the University of Maryland, USA. Under her supervision, anMoU has been signed between the National Center for Physics, Islamabad, and the Department of Physics, UoP for the training of MPhil & Ph.D. scholars. She is currently associated with the University of Peshawar as an Associate Professor and Director at the Academy of Science. Additionally, she is the President of the Pakistan Physical Society (PPS).
