Dr. Zaheer Uddin received MS degree in Physics in 1989 and BS in Physics (h), Chemistry and Mathematics in 1987 from the University of Karachi. He had completed Ph.D. from Technical University Graz, Austria in Laser spectroscopy. During his Ph.D. studies, he investigated the hyperfine structure of Tantalum and Praseodymium. He has authored and co-authored various research papers and several book chapters published in various journals, books, and conferences of international repute. He is a member of the Karachi Physics Society as well. He has supervised various MS thesis. He was awarded with HEC Scholarship for Ph.D. studies. He was also awarded a Gold Medal on the academic distinction in MS and World Lab Scholarship as a research student. He is contributing greatly to the research field of Atomic and Molecular Spectroscopy. On his research skills, he has attended and presented various papers at international conferences and workshops. He has more than 30 years of teaching experience in different renowned colleges and universities. Currently, he is associated with the University of Karachi as a Professor in the Department of Physics.
